June 20, 2007: New York, NY -- With the Empire State Building as the backdrop, Business Communications Management (BCM) hosted the first Partner Summer Mixer on a rooftop bar in midtown Manhattan. The Mixer was co-sponsored by Cablevision Lightpath, Level 3, McGraw Communications, Qwest, and Verizon. “The goal was to provide a unique networking opportunity designed to socialize complimentary Partners and technologies in a casual environment”, stated Cody Calhoun, Director of Business Development.
“The unique approach to this event is that we are profiling each Partner and their business objectives to pre-arrange “speed meetings”. We wanted to align the appropriate contacts within the service provider and partner community”, added Calhoun.
The event turned out to be a huge success with over 140 people in attendance. Along with the sponsors, there were many partners from the tri-state area that filled the rooftop bar at 230 FIFTH in midtown Manhattan. Introductions were made, partners networked and socialized to find added value for their business.
“The mixer was well planned and executed. It was a great location and gave us the ability to get to know and network with your local NYC partners,” stated Bill Steen, Level 3 Director of Marketing and Partner Programs. The event was a mutually beneficial event for all people involved and BCM looks forward to hosting more Mixers in the future.
