New York, NY- On June 3, 2006 the Francis X. Ahearn, Sr. Foundation held their 2nd Annual benefit cocktail party to raise money for the families faced with cancer. The Foundation was founded in 2003 by Frank Ahearn Jr., President of BCM, in memory of his loving father who lost a year long battle to lung cancer in August of 1996. More than 110 people attended and the foundation raised more than $120K. BCM donated a 46 inch Sony XP, LCD TV to be raffled during the evening. 100% of all donations are put in a fund at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (www.mskcc.org) and used to help families who are experiencing the financial strains associated with ongoing cancer treatment. Carl Pavolic, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at BCM stated “BCM has a long history of supporting Non-Profit organizations that help people in need of assistance and we are very proud to continue this support with the FXA Sr. foundation. This foundation hits very close to home for us at BCM and it reminds us that life is a gift every day. Our continued support for the FXA Sr. foundation and other Non-Profit organizations are uniquely supported through our “Make a Difference Program”. This program supports our belief and desire to be active in helping the communities in which we live in”.
